Olmo came on as a substitute for Pablo Paez Gavira Gavi in the 62nd minute of Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Getafe. With Barcelona confirming the 26-year-old midfielder has suffered a second injury in four months, with a right calf problem that will rule him out of Tuesday’s European trip to the Eagles.
But the Blaugrana have not confirm a timeframe on how long Olmo’s recovery will take. Meaning the 26-year-old could also miss the La Liga clash with Valencia on Sunday, January 26, with it being estimate he will be out for around 10 days and should be available for the Champions League clash with Atalanta on Wednesday, January 29.
Barcelona were then block by LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation from registering both players for the second half of the campaign for failing to meet Financial Fair Play rules before the Dec. 31 deadline.
